Both Kia and Toyota are offering incentives that bad credit auto loan consumers can take advantage of in December.
New car incentives
Here at Auto Net Financial, we tend to spend much of our time going over the incentive programs of the domestic manufacturers. But while Ford, GM and Chrysler (especially Chrysler) have been using incentives to clear out their 2009 (and some 2010) models, both Toyota and Kia are offering customer cash on some models that are ideal vehicles for bad credit car loan financing
Toyota incentives
The bad news is that for the month of December, Toyota is offering customer cash incentives on only one of its vehicles. The good news is that the vehicle that’s being incentivized is the Toyota Yaris and the incentive amount is $750. And while the Yaris may be a bit small for some buyers, it if happens to fit your particular needs there are a number of good things it has going for it.
For one, pricing on the Yaris sedan with an automatic transmission starts at $14,665, including destination, before the $750 in customer cash. Secondly, Toyotas traditionally have excellent resale value, which means that even with a smaller down payment; you’ll still be in decent shape, equity-wise, through more of the loan term.
Kia incentives
Most bad credit car loan customers should be in love with Kia. The Korean manufacturer is currently offering a boatload of incentives on all of its models. Kia’s most affordable model (starting at $14,770 for the LX automatic), the 2009 Kia Rio, comes with $1,500 in customer cash. Next up is the 2010 Kia Forte, which replaced the 2009 Spectra ($15,390 for the LX automatic), which has $1000 in customer cash. Next up is the 2009 Kia Optima ($19,645 in LX automatic guise), with a whopping $2,500 in customer cash. Even the 2009 Kia Sorento LX rear wheel drive model, with a base price of $23,440, becomes more affordable with the $5,000 in customer cash currently “on the hood”.
The Bottom Line
At Auto Net Financial, we want you to make the right choices when it comes to a bad credit car loan buying decision. That includes finding the right dealer and the right car to help you reestablish your auto credit and improve your credit score. Any one of the above models, with their customer cash, will make a bad credit car loan more affordable, while keeping interest costs down.
